Monthly meetings include an excellent orchid lecture by experienced orchid growers/orchid nursery owners/accredited American Orchid Society (AOS) Judges. There is an opportunity table of outstanding orchid varieties where attendees purchase raffle tickets to win orchid plants.

‘Growing cymbidiums like a Boss’, is the title of our February presentation to the Ventura County Orchid Society. We will review the basic needs and a few ‘extra tips’ on how to get fantastic results with your cymbidium orchids! Cymbidiums are a fantastic garden orchid for enthusiasts that generally thrive in mild Mediterranean climates! George is recognized in the orchid community for his numerous award-winning cymbidiums that he has created and grown. George has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Cal Poly Pomona in Plant and Soil Sciences and has worked in Agriculture since 1985. George Hatfield is the past president of the American Orchid Society and has served on numerous boards of Orchid organizations. See Less |
